Our preferred standard build panels consist of a core of polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation sandwiched between two layers of galvanised sheet metal. The polyisocyanurate bonds to the steel sheets during the manufacturing process, forming dense, strong panels with excellent thermal performance. We also offer many varying specifications of panel for various building fire requirements should boundary conditions exist.
Construction with PIR 'sandwich panels' is a modern construction method used throughout many countries and applications. PIR panelling is intended for external and internal walls, roofs and even extended ceilings, with each panel comprising of a core of thermo-insulating material, and skinned on both sides with durable sheet metal. They ensure a long-lasting, air tight and energy efficient envelope for all our buildings and enable safe, fast and easy installation.
We have used PIR wall and roof panels in many projects such as warehouses, stores, livestock buildings, MOT centres, luxury garages, automotive sales centres and even in residential construction. We provide our panels in many different sizes for different applications. Please see our colour chart in our catalogue to browse the range.
The frames we supply have been designed using the latest software to meet the needs of our clients and are built to withstand extremely high winds and heavy snowfall having been assembled in some of the toughest corners of England and Scotland. Every building we sell is of CE standard and our processes meet BS EN 1090 and EN 1090-1:2009 + A12011. At the core of our business is the ability to design, produce and assemble steel constructions that are not only sturdy but also ecologically superior and aesthetically pleasing.
So far, we have supplied hundreds of structures that met our client’s requirements, and all of our steel welding quality follows EN ISO 3834-3:2007 standards. We will be happy to talk to you about all elements of building with steel and are very proud of our practices. If you cannot find one of our designs that suits your needs in our shop, we can take your measurements and list of preferred doors, windows, skylights etc and aim to produce a building that is appropriate and bespoke.
Fire is always a consideration for the customer when planning a building. Depending on the building use, upon request and at cost we can prepare our frames with three, and four stage intumescent coverings to achieve very high fire ratings. This type of treatment, when used along side rockwool panels with a rating of A2-s1,d0 is particularly useful when building in tight urban areas that require significant attention to boundaries or taller multi story structures.
To be able to fulfil any bespoke order requirements, it is worth noting that we have a minimum ground floor build area of 150sqm and require a 2.5 metre clearance area around the perimeter of the proposed site for construction machinery access. Our maximum eaves height is eight metres.
